Mary is now offering private sewing lessons in her Manhattan studio on East 32nd St. In a one-on-one setting, Mary will share with you the techniques she has developed throughout her years of sewing and designing.
For you beginners, Mary provides a comfortable and non-intimidating atmosphere to learn some basic skills of the trade. This one-on-one experience with Mary will give you the basic fundamentals of sewing that you'll need to progress to the next level.
For you sewing enthusiasts who already know their way around a sewing machine, working directly with Mary will give you a new view of traditional techniques that you can use in all of your future sewing endeavors. As always, Mary encourages creative sewing of all types, and lessons offer the opportunity to learn about all the options available to you, and to reinvent traditional techniques to apply to your sewing repertoire.
Have your own sewing machine? Bring it! Otherwise Mary will be happy to provide one for you. You’ll discuss your project and do some planning prior to your first session, as well as come up with a list of materials you'll need so you'll be ready for your first session. Times and dates are flexible - we'll work together to find something that works perfectly for you.
